Epiphone Broadway E252 Sunburst 1966 $5200
Gibson USA made archtop guitar. Arguably better quality than Gibson's own branded guitars at the time!With a 17 3/8" body, the Broadway guitar is 1" wider than a Gibson ES-175. Scale-length 25 1/2" (65cm). Gibson mini-humbucker P/U.
This guitar is original and clean. Very strong and dark sunburst color with barely any fading. Frets are great. Hardshell case, I think original.
Narrow neck, 40mm at the nut. Cramped for cowboy chords but easy to hold E and A strings down with your thumb a-la Merle Travis!

This particular model has three Alnico pickups, the middle one being reverse wound. That increases the tonal palette and allows encroachment into Strat territory.

This 2015 re-issue of the famous Model 1993 from the 1960's is enhanced with a 1/8 inch (3.1 mm) wider neck as well as Caribbean rosewood fingerboard and more stable two-piece neck design fitted with a round heel for comfort.
Features three vintage reissue pickups, stereo output, trapeze tailpiece, vintage knobs and F-hole. Double body binding and pearlescent inlays add a refined touch. X-bracing in the body helps to bring out the full, rich and warm sounds the instruments are known for.
The original Rickenbacker Model 1993 design was once exclusive to the British distributor Rose Morris.
